The Team
Dr. Johnson

Dr. D’Amico Johnson is a native of Miami, Florida. He holds a B.S. from the University of Miami.
He received his Post Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida. He completed Family Medicine residency at Louisiana State University (LSU) New Orleans during which time he saw a complex and diverse range of patients and honed in on medical skills.
Dr. Johnson is an academic hospitalist and clinical educator, teaching and driving high value care while simultaneously coaching and mentoring the next generation of academic hospitalists.
He is a community health advocate. Dr. Johnson has dedicated his life to reducing health disparities through education, primary care, urgent care and preventative medicine. Dr. Johnson’s clinical and medical research interest includes Medicinal uses of Marijuana, Men’s Heath, Lifestyle Medicine with a strong emphasis on diet, exercise and living a holistically healthy life. He also has an interest in chronic disease and empowering patients to navigate their diagnosis through health literacy. Dr. Johnson is a prominent member of the American Board of Family Physicians and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine and The Atlanta Medical Association. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he enjoys working out, traveling and taking naps.
Dr. Boyd

Dr. Boyd, a native of Shreveport, LA, obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from Tuskegee University, and her M.D. from the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS (Rock Chalk). She is a graduate of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), and Harvard Medical School’s Training to Teach in Medicine program.
Dr. Boyd’s clinical career has included employment as a hospitalist with the largest healthcare systems in the state of Georgia, as well as educating young physicians caring for underserved populations. She is a member of the Atlanta Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and Society of Hospital Medicine. Her interests include medical education, mentoring future physicians, preventative care, hospital medicine, care of the disadvantaged patient, and women in leadership.
When not in the hospital Dr. Boyd can be found in the gym lifting, watching sports, consuming all things Harry Potter, eating her way across Atlanta, and spending time with her husband, two children, and German Shepherd named King.
